Treasure Trail

A quick guide for grown-ups

Start, save and get help

  1. Open Treasure Trail on a computer or tablet and sign in with the invited Google email. An invitation can expire before it is used; contact us if it does not work.
  2. Review the beta terms, create your child’s nickname/avatar and set the parent PIN. Save the recovery code privately; we cannot show it again.
  3. Choose the child’s profile and start Your first little program. Run the prepared program, change its movement and add a message. Continue appears when the task succeeds; children choose when to move on.
  4. Wait for Saved with your family before changing device. If offline or syncing, keep the tab/device available until it reconnects. Download a .sb3 copy of important creations.
How do I return to adult tools?

Use the explorer badge or Grown-up area and enter the parent PIN. It protects profile switching, settings, authoring and sharing. Parent tools lock after inactivity. Keep the PIN and recovery code away from children and out of support messages.

Why is Studio closed?

Parents can turn My creations and Studio off per child. The creations stay saved. Studio also pauses offline until the current permission can be checked. Lessons remain available. Assigned lesson requirements, when configured, are explained by the parent/teacher controls.

What if code will not run?

A message beside a Python line explains incomplete or unsupported code. The draft and last working blocks are kept. Fix the line or restore from the working blocks. Python edits one selected script or event body. The supplied games support keys, clones and broadcasts too; Run plays the whole Scratch project. Unsupported blocks remain available in Scratch. Project → Download Python game includes the helper runtime, assets and computer setup instructions. If checking stalls, Check code now safely retries. Use clues for the current lesson when an idea is tricky.

What if work will not save?

Check your connection and keep the tab open. Avoid making more edits to the same project on another device until sync finishes. If two versions conflict, keep both and choose deliberately. Do not clear browser data while work is waiting to sync. If possible, download the project before troubleshooting.

How do private copies work?

Adults review and share selected content. A copy belongs independently to the receiving family. Revoking a link stops new copies; it does not erase existing copies. Do not include personal information in shared text or assets.

How do I request data or report a problem?

Email basbelt15@gmail.com. Include the page, approximate time, device/browser and a short description. For a service fault, mention whether saving says saved, syncing, offline or conflict. Never send PINs, recovery codes, cookies, sign-in links or a child’s project unless we agree a private support route. Access/deletion requests must come from the account holder or another person entitled to make the request.
